Kailua Beach on Oahu has been called
one of the most beautiful beaches in the
world. I have taken many reference
photos there and can't wait to do more
paintings of the area. Yes, I work
primarily from my photos, but plan
to try more plein-air paintings in the near
future. Sometimes I just paint a scene
purely from imagination, but most
collectors appreciate a local scene.
