New Prints Of My Oil Paintings

I have had appointments and obligations that have hindered my painting the past few days, but I have managed to squeeze in some time on other art related chores.   Below are two of my oil paintings that I posted on Fine Art America this morning that may be purchased as print on demand paper prints, on stretched canvas, and as note cards.   For more information on the various sizes and so forth, go here

"Glory On The Beach"
8" x 10" oil on panel
$500

The original painting above is still available for purchase; please contact me at reynoldsrenditions@gmail.com
if interested.   I accept time payments on purchases of $500 or more.

"Blue Heaven"
12" x 12" oil on panel
$1200

This oil painting of Dinard's Blue Heaven Cattleya orchid is also available and you may contact me at reynoldsrenditions@gmail.com to purchase.  Again, time payments are welcome.

In addition to the above paintings, I have many more available as prints which you can view at Fine Art America.   Some of my photography is featured as well at that link.

This oil painting of Dinard Blue Heaven Cattleya orchid was finished this afternoon.  It was a joy to work on it, and hopefully I will do a larger version with four blossoms in the near future.

Dinard Blue Heaven - Stage 2 Work In Progress

"Hurry? I never hurry.  I have no time to hurry."  - Composer Igor Stravinsky

Dinard Blue Heaven
Work In Progress- Stage 2
12" x 12" oil on gessobord panel

This cattleya orchid is taking some time to complete.  It will need to dry before I work on it again.   As much as I would like to complete a painting in one sitting, most of the time it is my habit to work in stages and not hurry.  Stay tuned for the completed work.

Dinard Blue Heaven Orchid (Work In Progress)

The above reference photograph is of the gorgeous pale blue to lavender cattleya orchid Dinard Blue Heaven.   I fell in love with it at first sight and after bringing it home took over 100 reference photos of it.  Today I began a rough lay-in of oil color on a panel and you can see the work in progress below.

12" x 12" oil on panel
Work in progress

It looks pretty rough right now, but my aim was to first cover the panel completely with color.  The details will appear as the work progresses.   To view more photos of this orchid on a prior post, go here.

Dinard Blue Heaven Cattleya Orchid (Photos)

Photos of the Dinard Blue Heaven cattleya orchid have attracted a lot of attention on my photography blog...... (go here) ... and I thought I would share a few reference photos of that beautiful orchid with you here as I intend to paint it very soon.  I did make a post with one photo of "Blue Heaven" some time back on this blog, but thought I would share it again with more photographs.

Dinard Blue Heaven Cattleya Orchid

This orchid only had two blooms on it when I bought it and two very tiny buds.  Below is a photo taken of the buds as they were opening.  I took several shots of the buds and the flowers.

I am pretty sure I will paint this orchid large, like on a 18" x 24" canvas or 24" x 24".   Below is a photo of all four flowers open in all their glory.

To me, Dinard's Blue Heaven is more of a lavender color than pale blue.   Alas, the plant died shortly after blooming because I have trouble growing orchids; African Violets and most other flowers thrive under my care, but not orchids.
