Utah Oil Landscape - Stage 3 (Work In Progress)

Utah Landscape - Stage 3
16" x 20" Work In Progress

This oil landscape of a scene in Utah is progressing well; but it still is not where it needs to be as yet.
There is more green grass in the background, which is good, but to the natural eye under natural light there is not that much yellow in the foreground..... I believe my camera has a tendency to exaggerate the yellow.  There will be more orange in the foreground and I am still considering adding the fence as well as a woman and her dog.   The next post will be of the completed painting.

Thank you for visiting !

Spring In The Country (Reworked) - Landscape with Barns and Wildflowers

"Earth laughs in flowers." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Spring In The Country"
8" x 10" oil on archival panel
$595

Today I worked some more color and contrast into this oil landscape painting I posted earlier this week; take a peek at the previous post here .    I added more wildflowers as well and I am now satisfied with this country scene.     I should always wait a few days after completing a painting before I post here so I may look at it later with a fresh eye and decide if any changes need to be made.

After The Rain (Western Landscape)

"After The Rain"
8" x 16" oil on canvas
$1275

This western oil landscape is based on a reference photograph I took while traveling some time ago.   The reference photo and the work in progress may be viewed by going here   The horse and the barns are rather typical, so I added some rain puddles for more interest.

Please visit again soon as I have other paintings going right now in various stages of development.
