"Serenity In Motion"
9"x12" w/c and acrylic on paper
$300
The reference photo for this painting was taken at a park (Myrtle Edwards beach park) in Seattle, Washington; however, I changed the scene drastically so it is not typical of the actual spot. This painting began as a watercolor, but as it progressed I made changes in acrylic. The forground is mostly watercolor with touches of colored pencil in the rocks. Yes, I use to use Prismacolor colored pencils frequently; alone or in combination with watercolor. I might return to colored pencils again one day, but for the present prefer oils and acrylics. I am considering painting more watercolors just for this blog; mostly affordable miniatures. Let me know what you would like to see on this blog, I welcome all comments!
At present I am working on another 5x7 oval miniature which I hope to post tomorrow. Please check back often and visit awhile!
As always, if interested in purchasing this or another painting, please feel free to contact me at 808.536.0650 or email reynoldsrenditions@gmail.com.

"Texas" African Violet with Yellow Rose
5" x 7" Acrylic on canvas
$195 framed
Finished this little gem this Monday evening, and it was so much fun. I once owned over 100 African Violets and really enjoyed them and painted them frequently; did a whole series of paintings based on the name of the African Violet and told a little story with the painting. I still have several violets, but no where near 100. I grow them under lights on a plant stand.
This is a very special price for this painting; I just feel in a generous mood. Oval frames are difficult to find so I am selling it framed, and will charge an additional $8.00 for shipping within the USA. Contact me for shipping charges if you live outside the USA. reynoldsrenditions@gmail.com

"Wake-up Songs"
9" x 12" Acrylic on canvas
$ 625
This house finch and his buddies use to wake me up in the early mornings with their cheerful songs. One day I took a few photos of them on my patio and this is the resulting painting. I believe they were after the fruit type berries found on the palm trees. May paint more of this bird in the future. They were introduced to Hawaii from California before 1870.

"Dole Plantation 1"
5" x 5" Acrylic on gessobord
$185
Dole Plantation is on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. They still grow pineapples here, but it is not on as large a scale as in the past. Those are the Waianae Mountains in the distance. This miniature is a study for a larger painting (12"x16"). I am anxious to do some larger work for a few days.

"Near Santa Monica"
5" x 5" Acrylic on gessobord
$185
Santa Monica beach and town are in the distance and to the far right of this beach (not shown in this painting, of course). I really enjoyed Santa Monica whenever I visited California, which was often. The town as well as the beach and pier were a pleasure to visit. Many years ago I painted several watercolors of the area; perhaps I'll post a couple of them in the future. I do not remember the name of the beach in this painting above, which I painted from a reference photo I took many years ago.
